The collection guide
How to organize your fragrance collection
Start by separating the fragrances you own, the samples you have tried, and the scents you want to try. Add a short personal note to each one, then log wears of your owned fragrances so your collection reflects what you actually reach for.
Frolio is a fragrance collection app for keeping those bottles, samples, and wishlist entries together. This guide walks through a simple way to use it.
1. Give each fragrance a clear place
Search for a fragrance by name or brand in Discover, select it, and add it to your collection. Choose the status that describes your relationship with it:
- Owned: fragrances you own and want to include in your wear rotation.
- Sampled: fragrances you have tried or are evaluating before deciding on a bottle.
- Wishlist: fragrances you want to try or buy later.
Use the collection filters to see one group at a time. When a sample becomes a bottle you own, open its collection entry and update the status instead of starting a separate entry.
2. Write notes you will understand later
A useful fragrance note records your impression in your own words. Describe the opening, how it changes, and whether you would choose it again. A rating from 1 to 10 is optional; you can also leave it unrated while you decide.
“Bright citrus at first, softer woods later. Easy to wear at work. Try the sample again before buying a bottle.”
This is an example note, not a review of a specific fragrance. Your private collection notes are separate from the catalog’s scent notes, such as rose, cedar, or vanilla.
3. Keep a record of what you wear
For active entries marked Owned, use Log a wear to record today or an earlier date. You can add an occasion, mood, and private wear note. Review your calendar to see your rotation over time.
Wear logging is available for owned fragrances. Use private collection notes to record impressions of entries kept under Sampled or Wishlist.
If you finish or give away a bottle, archive its entry. Archiving keeps its notes and wear history while removing it from the active collection and public portfolio. You can restore it later.
4. Choose what you share
In Settings, choose whether your portfolio is public. A public portfolio shows your active collection, statuses, ratings, wear counts, and current-month wear activity, including fragrance names and dates.
Personal collection notes and wear notes stay private, as do the moods and occasions attached to wear logs. Archived fragrances stay hidden from your public portfolio. Check your public view before sharing its link.
5. Review before adding another bottle
Look through your owned fragrances, revisit your sample notes, and check your wishlist. You may already have something that fits the occasion. Keeping these decisions in one place makes the next choice easier to remember.
